Happy New Year to each of you!
How exciting our class together will be!!
I am looking so forward to it and know, you as a member of this exciting populous, will be totally into it as well.

As upper level painting students, I hope you have (or shall) begin to think about the project you would like to work independently with  during the course.  You and I will sit down after class hours, look at a few of your latests paintings, look at a few artists you are terrifically interested in and converse which way you would like to begin the term.  Of course, as the term proceeds, you will no doubt have your own evolution and interests, so please don’t think that the contract we build together will be ’set in stone.’
As artists, we should always be open for the process to take us into new opportunities and potentials that is a part of the evolutionary direction, not one that is finite.

As you spending your last few days before returning to campus - I want you to watch out for the following supplies.
They may be purchased on-line, or in shops that sell art supplies.
